Xiuhtezcatl Martinez (age 18, USA):
Through his campaigns like „We The Future“, the world renowed climate activist, hip-hop artist, author and Earth Guardians Youth Director has caught the attention of his generation as well as that of powerful institutions like the US federal government or the United Nations. Xiuhtezcatl travelled across the US and many parts of the world to raise awareness about the vulnerable state of our planet, he and his generation will inherit in the future. His inspiring message empowers the youth to join the combat against climate change and ensure a sustainable world. For these efforts he has already received multiple awards.
Felix Finkbeiner (age 21, Germany):
In 2007, at the young age of 9, Felix initiated Plant-for-the-Planet, a global movement seeking to plant 1 trillion trees
around the world until 2030 to offset global warming. Raising awareness about of the issues of climate change and its consequences on global justice, Plant-for-the-Planet has mobilised children
around the world to plant trees as both a practical and symbolic action in the fight for climate justice. As of today, the movement already planted 14 billion trees. In May 2018 he was awarded
